Renal cell carcinoma presenting as right atrial mass.
Approximately 190 new cases of renal cell carcinoma infiltrate into the inferior vena cava and right atrium every year. Echocardiography often plays a major role in establishing the diagnosis and in guiding surgical therapy. This report describes a patient who presented with shortness of breath but had no classic signs or symptoms of renal cell carcinoma other than chronic anemia. Transthoracic...

The case of an ectopic pancreatic mass at the umbilicus in an 8-day-old male neonate is reported, the youngest patient with this condition ever reported in an English-language journal. متن کاملEchocardiographic detection of an infected superior vena caval thrombus presenting as a right atrial mass.
A patient was found to have a large mobile right atrial mass by two-dimensional echocardiography after developing sepsis due to prolonged central hyperalimentation. Contrast echocardiography was helpful in localizing the origin of the mass. A large infected thrombus emanating from the superior vena cava was removed at operation. The discussion includes a review of the literature on the echocard...
متن کاملEctopic Hepatic Tissue Presented as a Posterior Mediastinal Mass

The mass was diagnosed to be ectopic histologically unremarkable hepatic tissue. We have also reviewed several of the few intrathoracic ectopic liver cases in the literature, along with a brief discussion of the significance of such a finding.
